Dr John Oyebiyi Alalade (1936- 2018)

He pioneered the Alalade Memorial Hospitals in the mid 1970s which gave birth to the ATG (askthegynaecologist) group today. He was one of the first Gynaecologists produced in the old Western Region of Nigeria and had the first diagnostic center including X-ray and full medical laboratories in Alimosho LGA of Lagos State, Nigeria. He was a major pioneer in private medical practice and was the CEO of Alalade Memorial Hospitals in Ijeshatedo-Surulere and Dopemu Agege in Lagos State, Nigeria. Baba J.O. as fondly called was the pioneer National Treasurer of the AGPMPN- Association of General and Private Medical Practitioners of Nigeria and held other national positions with the Nigerian Medical Association. He was a lover of Christ so contributed to the Nigerian Baptist Convention by donating the Providence Baptist Church, Dopemu.
